Walt Scott

About Walt Scott

Born in West Virginia, Walt Scott stems from musical roots. His violinist grandfather (Walter Scott, III) debuted at The Manhattan Opera House at age 4, and later served as the orchestra leader on the S.S. United States. In addition, Walt’s father is a pianist at the 5-Star Greenbrier Resort; a residency he has held for 40 years.

A retrospective of Walt’s career would span over two decades, beginning with his first Nashville break in 1991 as a keyboardist on the Hurricane Deck of the General Jackson Showboat. The following year, he toured with Tanya Tucker. The subsequent years allowed him to work with many familiar artists ranging from Wynona Judd to Victor Wooten; from soul legend Steve Cropper to 80’s pop-icon Tiffany; and from the promising rise of Mindy McCready’s early stardom to one of golden-age crooner Eddie Arnold’s final performances.
